Sundance

Sundance has been featured in several books including Second-Chance Horses: True Stories of the Horses We Rescue and the Horses Who Rescue Us from Baker Publishing and Jason and Elihu: A Fisherman’s Story from Wild Onion Press.

Sundance kisses his photos in the book to autograph it for readers. He also smiles for photos.

Sundance has worked with Gentle Carousel’s Reading With Horses literacy programs for many years and also visits with children in hospital care and children in foster care.

Nickname: Sunny.

Appearance: Sundance always looks as kind on the outside as he is on the inside. He had been living in a tiny chicken coop before he was rescued by Gentle Carousel, so he has a few scars, but no one notices.

Special Skills: Kissing his photos in his book is a fun skill but we like his smiles the most of all.

Favorite Thing: Sundance loves to have someone sit in the pasture and just spend time near him.

Personality: Sundance is kind and loving like a real life beautiful teddy bear.

Best Equine Friend: Sundance likes to be with Bart the mini donkey. They have participated in many reading programs together at schools and libraries.
