Mercury
Mercury is the main character in a book called Mercury & Sirius from Simply Pets Press. It is the story of his special relationship with canine best friend Sirius, a Maremma sheepdog that lives with him at Gentle Carousel.
Mercury and Sirius have appeared in many national magazines like Modern Dog and Dogster and on television programs like Best Friends FurEver with Kel Mitchell (CBS) and on Animal Planet.
Mercury and Sirius share their book at Gentle Carousel’s Reading With Horses literacy programs. Mercury also visits hospitals and hospice programs.
Nickname: Always Mercury.
Appearance: Mercury is a blue-eyed miniature horse. He has an unusual color pattern with three white legs and one dark leg, one white ear and one dark ear. He has a white face with a black mane.
Special Skills: Mercury is very photogenic and the corners of his mouth tip up in a smile.
Favorite Things: Meeting children at schools. Sleeping with Sirius in his stall and running with Sirius and the other “Guardian Angels” across many acres at Gentle Carousel.
Personality: Mercury is fearless.
Best Friend: Always Sirius, since the day they met when Mercury was one day old.
