Magic
Magic is one of the most famous therapy animals in the world. She has won many awards including being One of History’s 10 Most Courageous Animals by TIME Magazine and AARP’s Most Heroic Pet in America. She is in the American Veterinary Medical Association Hall of Fame and in the United States Equestrian Federation/Equus Foundation Horse Stars Hall of Fame. She had a flag flown over U.S. Capital in her honor for her service to the United States.
Magic is a sworn police officer with the Ocala Police Department.
Nickname: Magic or Little Hero Horse Magic
Appearance: Magic is black with bright blue eyes. She weighs 120 pounds.
Special Skills: Magic has visited places most horses will never see. She has visited Congress in Washington, D.C., Arlington National Cemetery and the 911 Memorial in New York City. She helped teach a class at Columbia Medical School, was invited to meet the twin baby pandas at Zoo Atlanta and has been on the concert stage in Nashville, Tennessee. Magic was also on stage for The Magic of the Nutcracker with the Dance Alive National Ballet.
Favorite Thing: Magic always wants to be in first place when she runs with the other therapy horses.
Personality: Magic likes being in charge. She is the lead mare in the Gentle Carousel herd.
Best Equine Friend: Therapy horse Dream is Magic’s best friend.
