Horse Therapy Work

Sundance has been a big part of Gentle Carousel’s Reading Is Magic literacy program for many years but he also works with children in hospital care and seems to have a special way with many children with autism. A character based on Sundance is featured in a book called Jason and Elihu.

Nickname: Sunny.

Appearance: Sundance always looks as kind on the outside and in photographs as he is on the inside.

Special Skills: Sundance’s photos appear in a book where he is one of the characters in the story. To autograph the book for readers, he kisses one of his photos.

Favorite Thing: Sundance loves to have someone sit in the pasture and just spend time near him.

Personality: Sundance is kind and loving like a big, beautiful teddy bear.

Best Equine Friend: Sundance likes to be with Bart. They have done many reading programs together at schools and libraries and enjoy each others company out in their pasture.
